Comfort levels vary by treatment. Microneedling and RF Microneedling involve mild to moderate discomfort, managed with a topical anaesthetic cream applied 30–45 minutes before the session. HIFU produces a warm, tingling sensation at deeper depths. Injectable procedures use topical or local anaesthesia. Laser removal is often described as a snapping sensation. All treatments are performed with your comfort as a priority and can be paused at any time.
The number of sessions depends on the treatment and your individual skin condition. Microneedling typically requires 3–6 sessions for optimal results. HIFU produces results with 1–2 sessions per year. Laser tattoo and PMU removal requires 2–8 sessions depending on pigment depth, colour saturation and skin type. Body contouring protocols are most effective with 3–6 sessions. A personalised treatment plan is discussed during your initial consultation.
Downtime varies significantly by treatment. Deep Hydration Facials and HIFU have no downtime. Microneedling causes 24–48 hours of mild redness. RF Microneedling may involve 48–72 hours of redness and mild swelling. Injectable procedures may cause 24–72 hours of swelling and bruising. Laser removal typically causes 5–10 days of localised skin reaction. PMU procedures require 7–14 days of healing.
Certain medical conditions may contraindicate specific treatments. General contraindications include pregnancy and breastfeeding, active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area, certain autoimmune conditions, blood-thinning medications (for injectables), pacemakers or metal implants (for RF and HIFU), and a history of keloid scarring. A full medical history evaluation is conducted before any procedure to ensure your safety.
Result longevity depends on the treatment and individual factors such as skin type, age and lifestyle. Microneedling results last 6–12 months with a maintenance protocol. HIFU results are visible for 12–18 months. Injectable fillers last 9–18 months depending on the product and area. PMU lasts 1–3 years before a refresh is recommended. Body contouring results are maintained with a healthy lifestyle. Laser removal results are permanent once the pigment is fully cleared.
